Having just photographed their wedding on Saturday, I found it fitting that Tessa and Austin be my featured shoot for today’s blog post. Tessa and Austin chose the incredible Superstition Mountains as a backdrop to their Arizona desert engagement shoot. It was also a symbolic area for them because it was where they went on one of their first dates. It was SO FUN hiking with these two. Laughing with them and learning more about them as a couple as we climbed. I loved it.
We had quite a dry winter and high winds the days leading up to their shoot. Because of these conditions, FlatIron was not full of it’s typical spring wildflowers. That didn’t stop us or hinder this awesome Arizona engagement session! The landscape was softly muted, which only made Tessa and Austin pop from the background more. Thy are also expecting their fist baby, a girl, at the end of the summer. It was fun to highlight not only them, but that beautiful growing belly for some mini desert maternity photos. I can’t wait to share some images from their wedding!!
